Unlike those women who prefer to paint flowers and celebrate the Women’s Day by receiving presents and complements, participants of this project by their critical works try to “overturn” the society and eliminate the impressions and the myths created by men about women. They try to envision a new society where there is no discrimination towards women, there is no brutality, and women are independent.
By using minimal aesthetic means, artists as directly and openly as possible speak about issues of their concern. The Armenian text in videos of Anoush Der Taulian, and Sona Abgarian, are deliberately written in Armenian to address directly the Armenian audience and our own society.
