Corpo-real is a meditation on identity, family history, and intergenerational memory—an intimate dialogue between past and present, body and mark. Using line work and hair as primary elements, the works trace the act of self-documentation, echoing the gestures of note-taking and inscription. Ink on paper becomes an extension of the self, a site where observation and remembrance converge. Hair, both a physical remnant and a carrier of lineage, weaves through the compositions like a script of inherited narratives. Each strand, like a line drawn by hand, holds the weight of personal and collective history.
The process of mapping these forms mirrors the way we attempt to understand ourselves through reflection— tracing what came before to grasp what remains. In Corpo-real, the act of mark-making is an act of recognition: a means of recording and reconstructing memory, of observing oneself as both subject and archive. The past lingers not as a fixed entity but as a continuous dialogue, inscribed through the body and its traces.
