1. Aims of the organisation
THE AIMS
The Center for Contemporary Experimental Art has been created with following objectives:

Above mentioned objectives are envisioned to be realized by:
As per Article 2 of the bylaws of the Foundation the aims of the organization are as follows:
· Assisting development of contemporary experimental art in Armenia
· Through public presentation of creations of young artists discovery of their talents and creating adequate conditions for assisting their future development.
· Presentation of such art of the foreign artists in Armenia.
· Presentation of creations of Armeni9an artists in foreign lands.
To achieve these goals Foundation implements the following:
· Organisation of exhibitions of contemporary and experimental art.
· Publication of works dedicated to contemporary experimental art
To achieve its aims the Foundation may engage in any activity, which is not prohibited by laws of the Republic of Armenia.
2. Structure of the organisation
2.1. FOUNDING MEMBERS
Sonia and Edward Balassanian are the Founding Members of the Armenian Center for Contemporary Experimental Art. ACCEA was initiated in the summer of 1992, and was officially incorporated as a non-profit organization in Yerevan, Armenia and New York, USA in 1994.
2.2 BOARD OF TRUSTEES
A Board of Trustees composed of dedicated volunteers, initially invited by the Founding Members meets once a year to review past year’s activities of the Center, and approve its program for the following year.
After the initial selection, the Board renews itself as needed and circumstances require.
Current members of the Board of Trustees are:

Roberto Boghossian, Businessman, Vice-President
Patrick Azadian, Advertising Consultant and Journalist, Public Relations and Development
Gagik Ghazareh, Cinematographer, Vice President and Artistic Director
Arpa Hacopian, Artist
Sevada Petrossian, Architect
Arné Z. Balassanian, Artist
René Gabri, Artist
2.3. BOARD OF DIRECTORS / ARTS COUNCIL
A council composed of coordinators of various programs of the ACCEA governs its activities, in the capacity of Board of Directors.
Current members of the Board of Directors are:

Sona Abgaryan, Director of Fine Arts Department
Seda Shekoyan, Director of Art Criticism Department
Vahram Akimyan, Director of Video, Cinema, and Theater Department
Sevada Petrossian, Director of Architecture Department
Arpa Hagopian, Assistant of Fine Arts Department
Albrik Abrahamian, Managing Director and Secretary
2.4. COMMITTEES
Activities of the Center are conducted in various committees created in the fields of fine arts, cinema and theater, avant-garde and rock music, creative writing, and art criticism, which are directed by the above-mentioned coordinators. Members of these committees are all volunteers, interested and involved in their respective fields. The number and nature of the committees will be subject to revision and change from time to time.
2.5. EXECUTIVE OFFICE
Professional staff, with advice and direction of the Board of Directors/Arts Council, implements programs of the Center. The staff is subject to expansion and change, depending upon nature and extent of expansion of activities, as well as availability of finances.
4. Membership of the organisation
“Membership” per se does not exist in this organization. ALL Armenian artists, who wish to be involved and present their work are considered participating members of the Center.
5. Decision-making process
All decisions, except for constitutional matters: Aims and objectives and to certain extent means used for achieving them, are made by the Board of Decisions/Arts Council, by majority vote.
All decisions related to constitutional matters are made at the Board of Trustees bny majority vote.
